Arianna's Song, by Matthew Tochman

She holds herself with grace and poise,
Ignoring all the boys and all their noise,
Every moment with her is bliss,
Wish I’d had the nerve for just one kiss,

She’s so silly and so fun,
Yet her stare, she holds it like a gun,
Never thinking about the cost,
I stop and stare and I am lost,

All the guys notice her too,
Wonder what it is that I should do,
‘Cuz every guy is dying to be,
The man of her dreams,

We sit alone and talk for hours,
All our jokes have a certain power,
Binding us as friends (where does this all end),
And I’m just wondering, can I be
The man of her dreams.
