Jeremiah has made an exact replica of himself that is lifelike and animated, operated by remote control, just in case the murderers return. When he hears the glass on the door break, he knows it is time to get into action. He activates his robotic replica as the two figures approach. He has even rigged his robot to aim and fire at the intruders. As they approach, the robot lifts the gun to shoot. The two figures say, “Don’t shoot!” From his perch on the stairway, he sees that the two figures are his parents.

Better Living Through Robotics, by Sharon Schikora
Jeremiah has made an exact replica of himself that is lifelike and animated, operated by remote control, just in case the murderers return. When he hears the glass on the door break, he knows it is time to get into action. He activates his robotic replica as the two figures approach. He has even rigged his robot to aim and fire at the intruders. As they approach, the robot lifts the gun to shoot. The two figures say, “Don’t shoot!” From his perch on the stairway, he sees that the two figures are his parents.

Very imaginative! Maybe Jeremiah can put his robot to work on his Saturday chores.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what marauders Jeremiah is looking for? I love robot stories, so thanks for this one!
