Her Eyes Reflect Her Heart, Anonymous

Teardrops gently glide from the corners of her eyes
Drip, Drop, Drip
Caught by a hand, a table, a shirt
Wet, warm, real
Drip, Drop, Break
Each splash creates new droplets
Her hurt multiplied
Love revealed
A reflection in each tiny pool
A hazel-eyed boy, la guerrita, her children, family and friends as close as
Each drop a piece of her heart
Torn, broken, wounded
An Unseen Hand catches each drop
Never
Lets
It
Fall
Sees each face, each hurt, all her love
Softly dries her eyes and picks up every piece of her heart
Stitches it to make it whole again
A piece for the hazel-eyed boy, attached to her children, strung together with her family and friends
Gently connected, lovingly stitched

For once and for eternity

  1. This is very poignant, and a reminder that we usually, eventually heal, no matter what the hurt was.
